तनिष्क बागची

Tanishk Bagchi (born 23 November 1980 in Kolkata, West Bengal) is an Indian music composer, singer, and lyricist working primarily in Hindi cinema, with additional credits in Bengali, Telugu, and Tamil films. Born to musician parents — his father Nand Kumar Bagchi worked as an arranger with R. D. Burman and Salil Chowdhury — he trained in music from a young age and began his career composing for Bengali albums and television shows such as Dance India Dance and Thapki Pyar Ki.

Bagchi rose to prominence in Bollywood with the song "Banno" from Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), composed as part of the duo Tanishk-Vayu, and made his solo debut with "Bolna" from Kapoor & Sons (2016). He became known both for original compositions such as "Vaaste," "Ve Maahi," and "Lut Gaye," and for recreations of classic film songs including "Dilbar" and "Aankh Marey," a practice that has drawn both commercial success and criticism from music purists and original creators such as A. R. Rahman.

His song "Vaaste" (2019), featuring Dhvani Bhanushali, became one of the most-viewed Indian music videos on YouTube and earned him a Filmfare nomination for Best Lyricist.
