षाड्विदमार्गिणी कर्नाटक की 72-मेलकर्ता पद्धति का 46वाँ मेलकर्ता है, जो आठवें चक्र 'वसु' (मेलकर्ता 43–48) का चतुर्थ राग है। 'षाड्विदमार्गिणी' का अर्थ है — छः मार्गों से चलने वाली — जो 72-मेलकर्ता पद्धति की सांकेतिक नामकरण शैली को दर्शाता है। वेंकटमखी ने 1660 ई. में इसका वर्णन किया। वसु चक्र के सभी राग कोमल रे और तीव्र म साझा करते हैं। षाड्विदमार्गिणी के सभी स्वर हिन्दुस्तानी-तुल्य हैं, परन्तु इनका संयोजन भातखण्डे के दस ठाटों से मेल नहीं खाता। डॉ. बालमुरलीकृष्ण ने इसमें कृति रची है।

Shadvidamargini is the 46th melakarta in the Carnatic 72-melakarta system, the fourth raag of the eighth chakra, Vasu (melakartas 43–48). It belongs to the prati madhyama half (melakartas 37–72). The name means 'the six-pathed one' (shadvida = six kinds / ways, margini = path-traverser), reflecting a tradition of cosmological or theoretical naming in the 72-melakarta system. Venkatamakhi enumerated this scale in the Caturdandi Prakasika (1660 CE). The Vasu chakra pairs scales with komal rishabha and prati madhyama, resulting in combinations with richly coloured lower tetrachords. Though Shadvidamargini's notes all have Hindustani equivalents, the specific combination is not represented in Bhatkhande's 10-thaat system. Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna composed a kriti in this raag.
