Haridhasa Priya is a Carnatic janya raag whose name means 'beloved of the Haridasas' — the Haridasas being the saint-poet movement of Karnataka (Purandaradasa, Kanakadasa, Vyasatirtha and others, 15th–16th centuries) who composed devotional songs to Vishnu (Hari) in Kannada. The Haridasa tradition was central to the popularisation of South Indian devotional music and contributed enormously to the evolution of Carnatic music forms including the keertana, which became the direct precursor of the kriti. A raag 'beloved of the Haridasas' would thus be one suited to simple, direct, emotionally accessible devotional melody — the hallmark of the Haridasa style. Its specific melakarta parentage and note-set are not prominently documented in major Carnatic texts.
