जब तलक

Jab Talak (3:12) was the first single released from Cocktail 2 (2026) — on 8 April 2026, more than two months ahead of the film's release. Sung by Arijit Singh, Madhubanti Bagchi, and Akasa Singh with Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyric and Pritam's composition, it established the album's emotional register: intimate, layered, and musically rich. Available on JioSaavn, it charted immediately on release.

Pritam constructs Jab Talak with three distinct vocal voices — Arijit Singh's depth, Madhubanti Bagchi's classical precision, and Akasa Singh's contemporary pop freshness — in an arrangement that layers them against each other rather than simply alternating. The result is a song that sounds different each time one voice takes precedence, rewarding repeated listening.

Amitabh Bhattacharya's 'jab talak' lyric (as long as / until) frames love as duration — not an event but an ongoing condition. The phrase has both romantic and elegiac registers: love that lasts, and love that defines a span of life.

Released on 8 April 2026 as the first single from the film, Jab Talak arrived at a time when Cocktail 2's production details were still largely unrevealed — making the song the audience's first emotional encounter with the film's world. The JioSaavn release link confirmed the song's full availability across platforms.

Jab Talak sets a high bar for the Cocktail 2 album with its three-voice architecture and Amitabh Bhattacharya's nuanced lyric — positioning the soundtrack as a serious artistic statement rather than purely commercial product.
