The Monographमहत्व Significance

Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story is notable primarily for its music: the seven-song multi-composer album includes 'Ek Dhaaga Toda Maine', produced by A. R. Rahman and sung by lead actress Kaveri Kapur from an English song she wrote at age 15 — a Hindi adaptation produced by Rahman with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi. This A. R. Rahman production credit for a debutant actress-songwriter is a rare event in contemporary Hindi film music, drawing attention to an otherwise modest OTT romantic comedy.
Legacy

The film released on Disney+ Hotstar (February 11, 2025) to moderate audience response; its OTT-only platform limited its theatrical profile. The enduring musical moment is 'Ek Dhaaga Toda Maine' — AR Rahman's production credit ensured it received disproportionate media attention for a debut film. Kaveri Kapur's dual role as actress and songwriter marked a notable personal debut, and the film is remembered largely as the platform for that song.
