Sam C.S. — best known in Tamil cinema for his background scores in Master (2021) and Doctor (2021) — invested six months in the Mahavatar Narsimha score, employing Digi2 spectrum technology to layer electronic and orchestral textures in ways not previously used in Indian animation. The Roar of Narsimha track opens with low brass drones and a Sanskrit invocation whispered by The Shloka before a percussive assault — combining European timpani with the South Indian dhol — signals the lion-god's arrival. The Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra's strings then swell to a climax that the director Ashwin Kumar timed precisely to the animation of Narasimha emerging from the pillar. At 2:08 the track is deliberately short: it is a blast of divine energy, not an extended devotional raga treatment.

The Shloka collective and D. Mohan Kumar compose a lyric that fuses Sanskrit cosmological vocabulary with urgent contemporary Hindi — a meeting of stuti (praise poem) and battle-cry. Mahavatar Narsimha took four and a half years of animation production, and director Ashwin Kumar — making his feature debut — knew that the music would need to match the visual scale. He approached Sam C.S. after seeing his Jada (2019) score. The composer flew to Macedonia to oversee the orchestral sessions personally, ensuring the brass and string swells matched the frame-by-frame animation timings. The Roar of Narsimha was the first piece completed, serving as a sonic anchor for the entire film's emotional architecture.

Roar of Narsimha arrived as the first major Indian animated film soundtrack to use a European symphony orchestra at full scale, establishing a new production benchmark. The film's ₹300+ crore worldwide gross — making it India's highest-grossing animated film at the time of its release — gave the song extraordinary visibility. By the end of 2025 it had been used in countless Janmashtami and Navratri celebration videos across Indian social media, cementing its status as a modern devotional anthem.
