Datta. The film paired the singing star Khursheed with the veteran Durga Khote in a domestic-melodrama frame typical of wartime Bombay production.

Datta Korgaonkar composed the score; hindigeetmala.net documents five song titles from the film — 'Chalti Ka Sidha Sa Naam', 'Hans Rahi Hai Chandni', 'Kiski Godi Me Khele Jahan', 'Le Aayi Angdayi' and 'Nagan Hum Khadi Chir Ke Chor' — but lists no singer or lyricist against any of them. The lyrics are credited in secondary accounts to the director Anand Kumar himself, working as Pt. Anand Kumar.

Zameen belongs to the early-1940s phase of Datta Korgaonkar's career, when the composer — having moved between Bombay and the Calcutta studios — was scoring socials such as this before Maharathi Karna (1944). Neither Zameen nor Karna became a commercial success, and the film survives today mainly as a documented entry in the Korgaonkar filmography rather than as a hit.
