लव इन वियतनाम

Love in Vietnam (2025) is a Hindi romantic drama directed by Rahat Shah Kazmi, produced by DRJ Productions. The film stars Shantanu Maheshwari (known from dance reality television and the web series Broken But Beautiful) and television actress Avneet Kaur, with a cross-cultural romance narrative set partly in Vietnam. The film premiered at the Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF) in Vietnam on 1 July 2025 before its Indian theatrical release on 12 September 2025. Kazmi wrote four of the six album songs himself — an auteur approach rare in Bollywood. The soundtrack features two Armaan Malik-Amaal Malik collaborations (Bade Din Huye and Jeena Nahi), Jubin Nautiyal's Chahe Jo Ho, the cross-generational bhangra number Burrah Burrah (Malkit Singh, Harshdeep Kaur, Ninja, Meet Bros), and two tracks by emerging voices (Varun Jain's Fakira and Raghav Chaitanya's Teri Pehli Nazar).

Love in Vietnam stands out for two uncommon qualities in 2025 Bollywood: director Rahat Shah Kazmi wrote four of the film's six songs himself, an auteur approach rare in the industry; and the film premiered at the Da Nang Asian Film Festival in Vietnam, making it among the few Hindi films to debut at a Southeast Asian festival. The soundtrack's cross-generational scope — from the multi-star bhangra 'Burrah Burrah' (Malkit Singh, Harshdeep Kaur, Ninja, Meet Bros) to Raghav Chaitanya's indie-gentle 'Teri Pehli Nazar' — reflects ambition to span tonal registers for multiple audience segments.

Released theatrically on 12 September 2025, Love in Vietnam's box office performance was not widely reported, suggesting a modest theatrical return. The film is better positioned as a streaming title given its television-background cast. As a cross-cultural India-Vietnam romance premiered at DANAFF, it holds a small but meaningful place in the gradually expanding geography of Bollywood's international settings. The longer arc of its reception is yet to be written.
