Ritviz Srivastava, known simply as Ritviz, is an electronic musician, singer, and producer who became one of the defining voices of Indian independent pop in the late 2010s. Born in Darbhanga, Bihar, and raised in Pune, he began learning music at the age of eight, training in the dhrupad tradition under Uday Bhawalkar, and composed his first song at eleven. That classical grounding shapes his signature sound: Hindustani-inflected vocal melodies riding on bright, danceable electronic production. After a debut EP, Yuv (2016), his breakthrough came in 2017 when 'Udd Gaye' — his winning entry in the Bacardi House Party Sessions — was released through AIB's YouTube channel and became a viral anthem. He followed it with the EPs Ved (2019) and Dev (2021), the collaborative EP Baaraat with Nucleya (2021), and his debut album Mimmi (2022), which he toured nationally. His music has crossed into screen soundtracks, including Netflix's Mismatched and Marvel's Ms. Marvel, and he featured on Forbes India's 30 Under 30 list in 2021. Working outside the film-industry system, Ritviz writes, composes, and sings his own material; the 2024 singles 'Mehrbaan' (with Hasan Raheem) and 'Nazaare' continue his run of self-made Hindi electronic pop.
