रश्मि विराग

Rashmi Virag is the joint pen name of Rashmi Singh and Virag Mishra, a husband-and-wife lyricist team who have written some of Hindi cinema's most-heard romantic songs of the past decade. Rashmi Singh began as an advertising copywriter with agencies such as Leo Burnett and Publicis before breaking into films with "Muskurane" from CityLights (2014), which won her the Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist at the 60th Filmfare Awards; she also wrote for Khamoshiyan and Mr. X (both 2015). Virag Mishra had been writing since the mid-2000s, with early credits including "Zinda Hoon" from Zinda (2006). Writing together from 2015, the duo announced themselves with the title track of Hamari Adhuri Kahani (2015) and went on to pen songs for Hate Story 3 (2015), Sanam Re (2016) and Simmba (2018), including "Tere Bin" and "Bandeya Re Bandeya". Known for direct, emotionally transparent romantic writing, they have stayed steadily in demand, with recent work spanning Savi (2024), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (2024) and Dhadak 2 (2025), for which they wrote "Bas Ek Dhadak" and "Tu Meri Dhadak Hai" with composers Javed–Mohsin.
