मनोज मुन्तशिर

Manoj Muntashir, born Manoj Shukla on 27 February 1976 in Gauriganj, Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh, is an Indian lyricist, poet, screenwriter, and dialogue writer working in Hindi cinema. He graduated from Allahabad University in 1999 before moving to Mumbai, where he first found work writing for television shows including Kaun Banega Crorepati and Indian Idol Junior. He adopted the pen name "Muntashir," an Urdu word meaning "a scattered soul," early in his career.

His breakthrough as a film lyricist came with the song "Galliyan" from Ek Villain (2014), which became a nationwide hit. He went on to write popular songs such as "Tere Sang Yaara" (Rustom), "Kaun Tujhe" (M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story), and "Teri Mitti" (Kesari), and won the National Film Award for Best Lyrics for "Parinda" from Saina (68th National Film Awards), along with IIFA Awards for Best Lyrics.

Beyond songwriting, Muntashir wrote the Hindi dialogue adaptation for Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) and the screenplay and dialogues for Adipurush (2023). He also co-founded T-Series Prarthana – The Sound of Sanatan, a devotional music initiative, and received Uttar Pradesh's Yash Bharati Award for his contribution to literature and the arts.
