Hari Prasanna Das was a music director active in the Hindi film industry during the 1930s and 1940s. He is credited as a co-composer, alongside Lallubhai Naik, on Bombay Mail (1935), and went on to work as music director on several films through the 1940s, including Mohabbat (1943), Meena (1944), Mazdoor (1945) and Begum (1945). He composed the score for Insaaf (1946), and in 1947 he co-composed music for the historical film Veeranganaa alongside a young Manna Dey, one of Manna Dey's earliest screen credits as a music director. Das also worked on Sati Toral (1947) and Hum Bhi Insan Hai (1948).
Detailed biographical records for Das, including his birth and death years, do not appear to survive in the available film history archives. He remains known chiefly through film credits and passing mentions in Hindi film music histories that document the many composers of Bombay's studio era.
