The score was composed by Harishchandra Bali with lyrics credited to Narendranath Tuli. The film was a song-driven social in the studio idiom of its day, but a verifiable, attributable song list — individual titles, their singers and texts — could not be recovered from surviving discographies and is therefore not catalogued here. (Note: a wholly separate 1947 film also titled 'Seedha Rasta', scored by S.K. Pal with lyrics by Amar Varma, must not be confused with this 1941 production.)

Seedha Rasta belongs to the prolific 1941 output of Bombay's smaller studios and is most often remembered today through music director Harishchandra Bali, a Jalandhar-trained Punjabi composer of the Talwandi gharana who scored some twenty-six films between Aurat Ka Dil (1933) and Janata (1947). In the late 1950s Bali controversially claimed this film had given a teenage Lata Mangeshkar four of her earliest screen songs — a claim Lata firmly rejected, placing the picture at a fascinating, if disputed, junction in film-music lore.
