धुरंधर

An undercover Indian intelligence operative infiltrates Karachi's criminal syndicates to dismantle a terror network targeting India. Spanning real events from the 1999 IC-814 hijacking through the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the film charts the protagonist's decade-long rise within Pakistan's Lyari gang hierarchy — and the moral cost of a life lived in the shadows.

Shashwat Sachdev's score for Dhurandhar made history by becoming the first Bollywood soundtrack to have all 11 tracks chart simultaneously within the Spotify Global Top 200, debuting at #2 on Spotify's Global Top Albums chart. The album fuses original compositions with reinterpretations of classics by R.D. Burman, Roshan, and Bappi Lahiri — stitching five decades of Hindi film music into a cinematic espionage tapestry.

Dhurandhar marks Shashwat Sachdev's emergence as one of Hindi cinema's foremost contemporary composers: his soundtrack became the first Bollywood album to place all eleven tracks simultaneously in the Spotify Global Top 200, debuting at #2 on the Global Top Albums chart. By weaving in reinterpretations of R.D. Burman, Roshan, and Bappi Lahiri alongside original compositions, Sachdev connected five decades of Hindi film music to the espionage genre — a feat of curation as much as composition. Aditya Dhar's follow-up to Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) consolidated the patriotic action blockbuster as a genre with a specific musical vocabulary.

Dhurandhar became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, with ₹1,350 crore worldwide. The soundtrack's Spotify chart record set a new benchmark for Indian film music's global reach. Netflix acquired the streaming rights with a premiere on 30 January 2026, extending the film's audience well beyond its theatrical run. Sachdev's reputation as a composer capable of bridging classical Hindi film nostalgia with contemporary production was firmly established.
