धूम धाम

Dhoom Dhaam (2025) is a Hindi romantic action comedy directed by Rishab Seth and produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby (Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani). It stars Pratik Gandhi (known for Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, 2020) and Fatima Sana Shaikh (Dangal, 2016; Ludo, 2020). The film was released on Netflix on 7 February 2025. The plot centres on a newlywed couple — Veer and Koyal — who get stranded on their wedding night and must survive a series of escalating misadventures. The soundtrack (Panorama Music) was composed entirely by Rishi Rich (British-Indian producer of Mundian To Bach Ke, 2002) with lyrics by Vayu, featuring Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan as the primary vocal artists alongside Rashmeet Kaur and Ash King. The structural design of the album — opening and closing with the same vocal pair in opposite emotional registers — was noted by music critics.

Dhoom Dhaam is significant as a streaming-first romantic action comedy from the prestige combination of Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby (Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani) — a creative partnership normally associated with literary or prestige cinema. Musically, Rishi Rich's sole composer credit is notable: the British-Indian producer responsible for 'Mundian To Bach Ke' (2002) brought UK-Asian bhangra-fusion sensibility to a mainstream Hindi Netflix film, with Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan as primary vocal artists creating an unusual generational bridge in the album's architecture.

Released on Netflix on February 7, 2025, Dhoom Dhaam earned warm audience reception as an entertaining Valentine's Day streaming watch. Pratik Gandhi's profile as an OTT leading man was further established post-Scam 1992. Rishi Rich's album earned niche but genuine appreciation from UK-diaspora Bollywood fans; Panorama Music's release had modest streaming figures. Music critics specifically noted the album's structural device — opening and closing with the same Sonu Nigam–Sunidhi Chauhan pairing in opposite emotional registers — as a sophisticated compositional choice unusual in mainstream Hindi film music.
