Kinaarey is Costao's emotional conclusion — a slow, shore-gazing ballad that uses the Goan coastline as a metaphor for the protagonist's permanent state of threshold existence. Mikey McCleary and Nikhita Gandhi (sister of Jonita, equally gifted) create a song that feels like the Goa tourism board's worst nightmare: not the sun-and-beach Goa of the Hindi film imagination, but the melancholy Goa of those who actually live there — always at the edge of somewhere else.

Mikey McCleary's piano-and-strings arrangement here is the most straightforwardly Bollywood-romantic of the three tracks — but the cajon underneath keeps the Goan identity intact, a rhythmic signature that marks the album as a whole.

The lyric uses 'kinaarey' in its multiple meanings: shore, edge, margin, boundary — the protagonist is always at the limit of things, never at their centre.

The song plays over the film's closing act — after the thriller plot resolves, leaving only the emotional truth of the protagonist's isolation.

Slow, melancholic Bollywood ballads set in coastal locations have a strong lineage (Sapne Mein Milti Hai, etc.). Kinaarey joins this tradition with an Indo-Portuguese sonic identity.
