Main Hoon (मैं हूँ) is the intense, anthemic track from the political thriller Article 370 (2024), composed by the film's music director Shashwat Sachdev, who also lends his voice alongside Sanjith Hegde, with lyrics by filmmaker-writer Sudhanshu Saria. Released by Saregama as part of the film's Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (out 19 February 2024, four days ahead of the film's 23 February theatrical release), the song reads as a first-person claim over the land — 'the chinar that burns in the garden is also mine, the dream that stays awake all night is mine too' — turning Kashmir's most iconic imagery into a statement of belonging that mirrors the film's narrative of reintegration. Sudhanshu Saria's lyric is written entirely in the first person as a claim of possession: the chinar that burns in the garden, the dream that stays awake all night, the shadow that walks with each step — all declared 'mine.' Article 370 (2024) is a Hindi-language political action thriller directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and produced under Jio Studios and B62 Studios (Aditya Dhar's banner), dramatising the events around the Indian government's August 2019 abrogation of Article 370, which had granted special autonomous status to Jammu and Kashmir. Its own footprint has been modest by the standards of a 2024 Bollywood release, functioning primarily as an in-film emotional cue rather than a standalone chart hit. Still, it is a notable credit for composer Shashwat Sachdev, extending his run of scores for nationalist-themed cinema after Uri, and a reminder of how Article 370's music leaned on Kashmiri imagery — the chinar above all — to carry the film's ideological weight through song.
