Jalwanuma (जल्वानुमा) is a romantic duet from Heropanti 2 (2022), composed, arranged and produced by A.R. Rahman with lyrics by Mehboob Kotwal (additional lyrics by Jyoti Nair), sung by Pooja Tiwari and Javed Ali. Released on 31 March 2022 by T-Series as one of the promotional tracks ahead of the film's 29 April 2022 theatrical release, the song is picturized on lead pair Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria and was directed for screen by the film's director Ahmed Khan. Set to a soft, Urdu-inflected melody typical of Rahman's romantic ballad work, the track leans on the evocative title phrase — asking the beloved to 'become a vision' — to frame a hushed, late-night mood of longing. While Heropanti 2 itself was critically panned and underperformed commercially, Jalwanuma was among the softer, more melodically praised moments of an otherwise action-heavy, poorly received soundtrack, and its official T-Series video has drawn tens of millions of YouTube views on the strength of the film's star pairing.

A.R. Rahman builds Jalwanuma around a gentle, mid-tempo melodic bed that lets Pooja Tiwari's and Javed Ali's voices trade the lead in a soft call-and-response, rather than the propulsive orchestration typical of the film's action set-pieces. The arrangement keeps space around the vocals, favouring atmosphere and restraint over the bombast that defines much of the rest of the Heropanti 2 score — a choice consistent with Rahman's tendency to place one quieter, melody-forward romantic number inside an otherwise high-energy action film soundtrack.

Mehboob Kotwal's lyric works the Urdu-Hindi register of romantic admiration, built around the striking compound 'jalwanuma' — literally 'one who appears as radiance' — to ask the beloved to become a living vision rather than a mere presence. Lines built on 'aahat' (footfall/sound of approach) and 'sargoshi' (whisper) keep the imagery intimate and hushed, favouring suggestion over declaration, in keeping with the softer emotional register Rahman's melody sets up.

Heropanti 2, directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, is a standalone action-thriller sequel to the 2014 hit Heropanti, starring Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Released theatrically on 29 April 2022, the film follows a cybersecurity expert (Shroff) drawn into a battle against a hacker-villain, with romance between the leads unfolding alongside the action plot. Jalwanuma is one of the film's romantic interludes, picturized on Shroff and Sutaria, offering a softer counterpoint to the film's stunt-heavy set-pieces; it was released as a promotional single ahead of the film's launch, part of T-Series' standard rollout of the soundtrack in the weeks before release.

Heropanti 2 was a critical and commercial disappointment on release, but its official T-Series video for Jalwanuma has nonetheless accumulated tens of millions of YouTube views, buoyed largely by the star power of Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria and by A.R. Rahman's name on the soundtrack. Among the film's five songs, it is remembered as one of the more melodically gentle entries, standing apart from the harder-edged, more heavily marketed numbers like Dafa Kar and Miss Hairan.
