Synopsis1942 की एक सामाजिक ड्रामा फ़िल्म, जिसका निर्देशन और संगीत जी. पी. कपूर ने किया। यह हिंदी–मारवाड़ी द्विभाषी रूप में बनी और आज मुख्यतः पहली राजस्थानी भाषा की फ़िल्म के रूप में याद की जाती है। इसका स्थायी महत्त्व यह है कि इसने जोधपुर में जन्मे महिपाल को — जिन्हें इकाई ने राजस्थान में अभिनेता की तलाश के दौरान खोजा — दोनों संस्करणों के नायक के रूप में पर्दे पर पहली पहचान दी।

Its enduring footnote is that it gave Jodhpur-born Mahipal — discovered by the unit during a casting search in Rajasthan — his screen debut as the hero of both versions.

The film's music was composed by its own director, G. P. Kapoor — then a Minerva Movietone music man working alongside assistant director Pessi Billimoria. No reliable song-by-song listing for the 1942 Nazrana survives in the standard film-song archives; online databases routinely confuse it with the unrelated 1961 Nazrana scored by Ravi. The individual song titles, singers and lyricists therefore remain undocumented and are not catalogued here.

The production is remembered for its troubled making and its casting backstory: G. P. Kapoor and assistant director Pessi Billimoria travelled to Jodhpur in search of a hero for the Hindi–Marwari bilingual, where the young Mahipal Bhandari — a literature graduate from Jaswant Government College then active in theatre — impressed them enough to be cast in both versions.
