Synopsis1944 की एक हिंदी सामाजिक-संगीत फ़िल्म, जिसका निर्माण लक्ष्मी प्रोडक्शंस ने किया, निर्देशन सी. एम. त्रिवेदी का और संगीत अशोक घोष का था, तथा प्रमुख भूमिका में लीला देसाई थीं। युद्ध-वर्षों की अनेक प्रोग्राम फ़िल्मों की तरह मिस देवी मुख्यतः अपने ग्रामोफ़ोन रिकॉर्डों के ज़रिए ही बची रही है, उसकी प्रिंट नहीं; इसकी विस्तृत कथा अब अच्छी तरह दर्ज नहीं है। जो निश्चित है वह है 1944 के व्यस्त बॉम्बे रिलीज़-कैलेंडर में इसका स्थान और शेलैक पर सुरक्षित अशोक घोष के कुछ गीत।

A 1944 Hindi social-musical from Laxmi Productions, directed by C. M. Trivedi with a score by Ashok Ghosh and Leela Desai in a leading role. Like many programme films of the war years, Miss Devi has survived chiefly through its gramophone records rather than its print, and its detailed plot is no longer well documented; what remains certain is its place in the busy 1944 Bombay release calendar and the small clutch of Ashok Ghosh songs preserved on shellac.

The surviving documentation of Miss Devi's music is a single 78 RPM National Gramophone disc carrying two songs from the film — 'Piya Milan Ki Aadhi' and 'Ek Mohak Swapna Aaya' — both composed by Ashok Ghosh. The full set of songs and their individual singers and lyricists is not preserved in accessible records.

It is one of the comparatively few films associated with the composer Ashok Ghosh, and so carries documentary value for tracing his modest discography.
