Synopsisतीन-रील की कॉमेडी, 'आवर वाइव्स' नाटक से रूपांतरित — एक हल्की-फुल्की गृहस्थ-प्रहसन। दुलारी बीबी की ऐतिहासिक अहमियत उसकी कथा में कम, पर्दे के पीछे के क्षण में अधिक है: के.एल. सहगल की आवाज़ माइक्रोफ़ोन से सुनकर पहाड़ी सान्याल इतने अभिभूत हुए कि उन्होंने उसे जीवित स्वर से भी मधुर बताया। इस वर्ष की तीनों सहगल-फ़िल्मों — पूरन भगत, यहूदी की लड़की, दुलारी बीबी — ने मिलकर स्थापित किया: माइक्रोफ़ोन को अपना पहला उस्ताद मिल गया था।

A three-reel comedy adapted from 'Our Wives', a light social farce set in a domestic milieu. Dulari Bibi is historically significant less for its content than for what happened behind the scenes: upon hearing K.L. Saigal's voice amplified through the studio microphone, the veteran actor Pahari Sanyal was so struck by its sweetness and microphone-friendliness that he declared it unlike anything he had experienced live. The film confirmed what Saigal's three 1933 productions — Puran Bhagat, Yahudi Ki Ladki, and this comedy — were establishing: the microphone had found its first master.
