As with the rest of the score, the playback singer is not preserved in surviving record listings.

रफ़ीक़ ग़ज़नवी, स्वयं एक निपुण ग़ज़ल गायक और विचित्र-वीणा वादक, उर्दू-ग़ज़ल शैली में अलंकृत, मींड-अनुकूल धुन को पसंद करते थे। बहार के विषय वाला ऐसा गीत एक उल्लासमय मध्यम लय को आमंत्रित करता — हारमोनियम और तबले के साथ, ताल इतनी हल्की कि आवाज़ पंक्ति भर खिल सके।

Rafiq Ghaznavi, himself an accomplished ghazal singer and vichitra-veena player, favoured ornamented, melisma-friendly melody in the Urdu-ghazal mould. A spring-themed lyric like this would have invited a buoyant medium tempo with harmonium and tabla, the rhythm light enough to let the voice bloom across the phrase.
