तुझको

Tujhko (5:42) is the centrepiece of the Cocktail 2 (2026, Universal Music India/Sony Music India) soundtrack — Pritam's most expansive love ballad since the 2012 original, sung by Arijit Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan with Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyrics. At nearly six minutes, it allows the two voices to fully inhabit a love declaration of extraordinary emotional range: Arijit's restrained yearning in the lower registers countered by Sunidhi's soaring, unapologetic top notes. The song charted on Spotify India Top 50 and exists in two additional forms on the album — a Film Version (Sunidhi solo, 3:43) and a Fan Version (Yuvann, 3:24).

Pritam structures Tujhko as a long-form ballad — rare in contemporary Bollywood, where sub-4-minute songs dominate streaming algorithms. The extended runtime allows him to develop a full musical arc: an intimate, piano-led opening, a gradual orchestral build, and a final section where Sunidhi Chauhan's voice breaks free of the arrangement entirely. Arijit Singh opens the song with his characteristic controlled vulnerability, establishing emotional territory that Sunidhi then claims with full operatic authority. The contrast between their vocal philosophies — his introversion versus her extroversion — creates genuine dramatic tension within the song.

Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyric frames the beloved as an absolute — 'tujhko' (to you/for you) as a complete sentence, the song's grammatical and emotional subject in a single word. The brevity of the title contrasts with the song's emotional expanse: everything condensed into a pronoun.

Tujhko was released as a standalone track on 25 May 2026 — ahead of the film's 19 June release — and immediately trended on Spotify India. The Sunidhi Chauhan film version (3:43) was recorded separately for in-film use, while the longer Singh-Chauhan duet serves the album as a standalone experience. The Fan Version by Yuvann (3:24) was released post-film, demonstrating the song's viral culture traction.

Tujhko establishes the Cocktail 2 musical universe as a worthy successor to the 2012 original — the long runtime and vocal ambition ensuring it becomes a defining entry in both Pritam's and Arijit Singh's filmographies.
