The 3:03-minute female reprise of 'Saiyaara' from the film Saiyaara (YRF Music, 2025) is sung by Shreya Ghoshal, transforming the title track into Vaani's perspective — the beloved's answer to Krish's grief. Tanishk Bagchi's reprise arrangement strips the title track's production back to its essentials — the three-note descending motif, a single piano, and Shreya Ghoshal's voice. The shorter runtime (3:03 versus 6:09) mirrors Vaani's situation: her version of the story is necessarily compressed, the details eroding. Ghoshal's classical precision gives the song a different texture from Faheem Abdullah's more raw delivery — this is the same grief experienced by a different kind of consciousness.

The reprise's lyric retains the title track's core phrases but reorders them in a way that suggests a mind moving through fragmented memory — lines arrive out of sequence, connections are implied rather than stated. This structural choice mirrors Vaani's Alzheimer's in the lyric itself.

The decision to cast Shreya Ghoshal in the reprise was made quite late in post-production, when Mohit Suri felt the film needed a female musical perspective on its central emotional situation. Ghoshal, who is associated in listeners' minds with the gold standard of Hindi romantic female vocals, was the only realistic choice for a song that needed both technical perfection and emotional authenticity.

The female reprise became many listeners' preferred entry-point into the Saiyaara soundtrack — its shorter runtime making it more accessible than the 6-minute title track, while Ghoshal's voice providing a star-power draw that Faheem Abdullah, however gifted, could not yet match in established recognition.
