'Jhoothe Hain Sab Sapne Suhane', sung by Manju, is the second of her numbers in Rattan and the album's most disillusioned song — the dreams that once seemed beautiful revealed as illusion. It gives Naushad's 1944 score its note of resignation, balancing the celebratory and romantic songs with a moment of clear-eyed sorrow.

Naushad pares the setting down to suit the lyric's disenchantment — a slow, inward melody over a sparse accompaniment that refuses ornamentation. The restraint is itself expressive: the music withdraws as the dreams it once decorated are declared false.
