A mythological drama from Imperial Film Company, Sati Sone depicted the life of a saintly golden woman (sone: gold) whose virtue and devotion shine like precious metal through trials of worldly suffering. Director Madanrai Vakil and composer Pransukh Nayak — whose work on Imperial's Madhuri (1932) produced India's first commercially released film-song gramophone records — brought the film a musical depth rooted in the early-talkie devotional style.
