कथा-सार
Synopsisकारवाँ-ए-हयात एक लाहौर शाखा न्यू थिएटर्स की पोशाकी नाटक है जिसमें राजकुमार परवेज़ अपने राज्य से एक तय विवाह से बचने के लिए भाग जाते हैं, और एक जिप्सी मंडली में उसी राजकुमारी से मिलते हैं जिनसे उनकी शादी होनी थी। दोनों के प्रेम और खलनायक तिक्किम के षड्यंत्रों के बाद पहचान और मिलन की कहानी बुनती है। के.एल. सहगल की आवाज़ इस निर्माण का केंद्र-बिंदु थी।

Karwan-e-Hayat is a Lahore-branch New Theatres costume drama in which Prince Pervez flees his kingdom to escape an arranged marriage, only to encounter the very princess he was to wed among a troupe of gypsies. As the two fall genuinely in love and overcome the machinations of the villain Tikkim, the film unfolds as a romance of mistaken identities and eventual recognition. K.L. Saigal's singing voice was the gravitational centre of the production, with nine songs written by Hakim Ahmad Shuja Pasha and set by Timir Baran and Mihir Kiran Bhattacharya — bringing the New Theatres Calcutta musical sensibility to a Lahore-made film.
