Hamara Sansar has eight documented songs and six surviving ones. This is one of the two that fell off. Both HindiGeetMala, working from the HFGK-derived indexes, and MySwar list the title against this film with Gobind Ram as composer and Ramesh Gupta as lyricist, and both leave the singer field blank — not filled with a guess, simply empty. It is absent from the commercial album Saregama still carries, no transfer of it has surfaced among 78-rpm collectors, and no lyric text for it has ever been published. The singers array in this record is therefore empty on purpose: the attribution does not exist, and inventing one would be worse than the gap.

Nothing is recorded about this song's music beyond its composer. Gobind Ram wrote the whole of the Hamara Sansar score, so the setting was his; the vintage-music literature describes him as a Lahore-trained composer whose particular strengths were rhythm and orchestration and whose work sat in the mainstream 1940s Bombay manner rather than wearing its Punjabi origins on the surface. That is the limit of what can be said. No arrangement, tempo, raag or instrumentation is documented, none is guessed at here, and the classification fields have been left empty rather than filled to look complete.

The title is the only text that survives, and it is a figure of speech before it is a line of poetry. 'Two pieces of one stone' is a common Hindi-Urdu way of describing two people who were once a single thing and have been broken apart — most often siblings, or a parent and child, and the emphasis falls on the fact that the split was not a difference of nature but an act of force. In a film named after a household, and cast with brothers, daughters-in-law ranked by seniority and two characters played twice over as children and as adults, a song built on that image would belong to the family's fracture rather than to any romance. That is a reading of an idiom, however, not a summary of a lyric: no words for this song have been published anywhere, and none are reconstructed here.

Hamara Sansar was a Prakash Pictures social directed by Shanti Kumar, made in the stretch when the studio was deliberately moving away from the mythologicals that had made its name. The film failed commercially and no print is known to circulate, so nothing is recorded about which character sings this number or where it falls in the story. The soundtrack is unusually tidy for 1945: eight documented titles, one composer, one lyricist, and four singers between them.

This is what the tail end of a 1940s soundtrack usually looks like. The film's own songs are documented as eight; the commercial reissue carries six; and the two that did not make the transfer — this one and 'Raas Rachaye' — exist now only as rows in a song index, with a composer, a lyricist, a film and a year, and no voice. Whether a shellac pressing of it ever existed in the quantities that let a record survive, or whether it was recorded and dropped, is not something the available sources answer. Kept here without invented credits, the entry is a record of a documented absence rather than a reconstruction of a song, and that is the honest form for it to take.
