Ek Aur Dhan Te Nan (एक और धन ते नन, literally 'one more Dhan Te Nan') is Vishal Bhardwaj's self-referential callback to his own most famous scat-hook composition — the 2009 Kaminey track 'Dhan Te Nan' — reworked for Kuttey (2023) as a duet between Punjabi-folk singer Jyoti Nooran (of the Nooran Sisters) and rapper Hanumankind, with lyrics by Gulzar. Released as part of the film's T-Series soundtrack on 9 January 2023, the track is notable in hindsight as one of Hanumankind's earliest Bollywood playback credits, arriving well over a year before his breakout global viral hit 'Big Dawgs' (2024) turned him into one of Indian hip-hop's most recognized names.

Vishal Bhardwaj rebuilds the 'Dhan Te Nan' scat hook — the nonsense, percussive vocal phrase from Kaminey that mimics a gunshot-drumbeat — around a new fusion arrangement pairing Jyoti Nooran's powerful, folk-trained Punjabi vocal delivery with Hanumankind's rap verses. The pairing of a classically rooted folk voice against contemporary English-language rap is one of the more genre-bending choices on the Kuttey soundtrack, giving the track a rougher, more percussive edge than the original Kaminey version while keeping its signature call-and-response hook intact.

Gulzar's lyric leans on the same nonsense-syllable device that made the original 'Dhan Te Nan' work — sound over sense, rhythm over narrative — while the title's 'ek aur' (one more) openly winks at the audience, acknowledging the track as a deliberate sequel rather than pretending otherwise. It's a rare example of a Gulzar lyric built almost entirely around bols (rhythmic vocal syllables) rather than conventional verse.

Kuttey, Aasmaan Bhardwaj's directorial debut co-written with father Vishal Bhardwaj, tracks three rival gangs converging on the same armoured cash truck over one chaotic, rainy Mumbai night. Ek Aur Dhan Te Nan supplies the film's rougher, adrenaline-charged energy, distinct from the tender Tere Saath and the anthemic Azadi elsewhere on the same soundtrack. The film, starring Tabu, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Radhika Madan, and Konkona Sen Sharma, released theatrically on 13 January 2023 to mixed reviews that nonetheless singled out Vishal Bhardwaj's music as a highlight.

Ek Aur Dhan Te Nan's chief lasting significance is retrospective: Hanumankind's presence on the track predates his 2024 global breakout with 'Big Dawgs' by more than a year, making this one of his earliest mainstream Hindi film credits before he became a widely recognized name in Indian hip-hop. On its own terms the song remained a moderate album cut rather than a chart-topper, with YouTube uploads reaching the low-to-mid hundred-thousands of views — modest next to the original 'Dhan Te Nan' from Kaminey, which remains a cult favorite over a decade later.
