Aaj Ke Baad (Reprise) is the alternate vocal take of composer-lyricist Manan Bhardwaj's title theme for Satyaprem Ki Katha (2023), Sameer Vidwans' romantic drama starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. Where the original track (track 2 on the soundtrack) pairs Bhardwaj with Tulsi Kumar, this reprise version (track 8) swaps in singer Himani Kapoor for the female vocal, giving the same melody and lyric a different emotional colour later in the film. Released alongside the rest of the Satyaprem Ki Katha soundtrack on 1 July 2023 under the T-Series label, ahead of the film's 29 June 2023 theatrical release window, the reprise plays at a more vulnerable, reflective point in the Satyaprem-Katha relationship than the upbeat original. It has not matched the commercial reach of the film's bigger singles, but it remains a recurring fan favourite on lyric and reels platforms for its stripped-down, piano-and-vocal-forward arrangement.

Manan Bhardwaj, credited as both composer and male vocalist across both versions of Aaj Ke Baad, keeps the reprise's core melody and chord structure identical to the original but pares the arrangement down — leaning on piano and soft strings behind the vocal rather than the fuller original orchestration. Himani Kapoor's more restrained, breathy delivery replaces Tulsi Kumar's brighter original vocal, shifting the song's texture from wistful-romantic to quietly emotional, in keeping with the reprise placement at a lower point in the film's arc.

The lyric is a direct, unadorned vow — 'you taught me how to love,' 'I will live with you, I will die with you' — written in simple, conversational Hindi-Urdu rather than dense poetic metaphor. That plainness is deliberate: Manan Bhardwaj's writing across the Satyaprem Ki Katha soundtrack favours emotional directness over ornate wordplay, letting the melody and vocal carry the weight while the words state the commitment as simply as possible.

Satyaprem Ki Katha follows Satyaprem 'Sattu' Tripathi (Kartik Aaryan), an unemployed young man in love with Katha Vyas (Kiara Advani), whose own past trauma shapes the film's more serious second half. Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Namah Pictures and directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film released theatrically on 29 June 2023. The reprise of Aaj Ke Baad is placed later in the narrative, using Himani Kapoor's vocal to underscore a moment of quieter emotional reckoning between the two leads, distinct from the more conventionally romantic staging of the original version earlier in the film.

The reprise has not charted or streamed at the scale of the film's original Aaj Ke Baad or of Satyaprem Ki Katha's other singles, but its official T-Series 'Full Video' upload has crossed 3.5 million YouTube views and it continues to be a recurring pick on lyric-video and Instagram Reels compilations for fans who prefer its softer, female-led rendition of the film's central vow.
