अचिंत ठक्कर

Achint Thakkar, credited mononymously as Achint, is a Mumbai-born composer and producer who became one of the defining sounds of India's streaming era. He first surfaced in the indie scene with his debut album Shalimar (2015), a retro-tinged project that signalled his fascination with vintage Indian pop, and followed it with Achint & The Khan Brothers (2018), a fusion record with Rajasthani folk singers. His breakthrough came in 2020 with the title theme of the SonyLIV series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story — a swaggering earworm that became a cultural phenomenon and won him Filmfare OTT Awards for both soundtrack and background score. He deepened his partnership with director Vasan Bala on Netflix's Monica, O My Darling (2022), whose lounge-noir soundtrack revived the spirit of 1970s Bollywood funk, and scored the series Rocket Boys and Scoop. His 2023 Coke Studio Bharat collaboration 'Khalasi' with Aditya Gadhvi became a pan-India Gujarati folk hit. In 2024 he moved to mainstream Hindi cinema with songs for Mr. & Mrs. Mahi and the bulk of the Jigra soundtrack — including 'Pan India Area King' with rapper Paal Dabba and lyricist Varun Grover, on which Achint also sang and co-wrote — work that earned him the Filmfare R. D. Burman Award for upcoming music talent and an IIFA award for Jigra's background score.
