Chal Musafir is the journey song of Gustaakh Ishq (November 28, 2025) — Armaan Malik leading the 3:52 track that captures the young protagonist Pappan's journey from Delhi to Punjab to find the Urdu poet Aziz Baig. Gulzar uses 'chal' (go / move on) as both a command and an invitation — addressed to the musafir who is also the lover who must leave. The Sufi tradition of the musafir as spiritual seeker gives the song its deeper register: the beloved is a destination, and love is the only real journey.

Armaan Malik was Vishal Bhardwaj's choice for Chal Musafir specifically because the song needed a voice that would feel younger than the film's other tracks — signalling that the traveller is setting out at the beginning of experience, not the end of it.

Chal Musafir is the most radio-friendly track on the Gustaakh Ishq EP, and served as the film's most streamed song post-release. It confirmed Armaan Malik's versatility — his ability to inhabit a literary, Gulzar-Bhardwaj musical world without losing his contemporary appeal.
