One of the better-remembered numbers from Kashinath, this solo of yearning is built around the image of a freed forest-bird and the longing of the one who watches it disappear. Sung by Radharani to Pankaj Mullick's gentle melody and Pandit Bhushan's verse, it carries the wistful, separation-tinged mood that runs through much of the film's female songbook.
