'Mori Chundariya Me Chanda Chamke' is one of the eight documented songs of Paapi (1943), with lyrics by Aziz Kashmiri and music by Pandit Amarnath. The folk-poetic image of the moon caught in a woman's chunari (veil) marks it as a song in the rural-lyrical register. It is the single most widely indexed Paapi number, appearing on the film, lyricist and music-director listings of hindigeetmala.net; the singer is not documented there.

पंडित अमरनाथ यहाँ लोक-शैली की ओर झुकते हैं — चुनरी और चंदा का बिम्ब एक धुन-प्रथम पंक्ति के नीचे ढोलक-प्रधान ताल को न्योता देता है, लाहौर-परंपरा के उस अंदाज़ में जो मिट्टी से जुड़ी, गाने-योग्य धुनों को महत्व देता था। मध्यम लय और सादा संयोजन बोल के देहाती, लोरी-सरीखे स्वरूप को आगे रखते हैं।
