'Man Mein Uthe Uchhale Mere' is a female duet by Hamida Banu and Snehprabha Pradhan, written by D. N. Madhok and composed by Bulo C. Rani. It is the one song on the record on which Hamida Banu is credited.

Female duets in this period were written for a specific screen situation — two women alone together, usually at some domestic or pre-wedding occasion — and the music follows: a brisker tempo than the solos, a rhythm that stays close to the surface, and antiphonal phrasing that lets the two voices answer each other. Both singers here sit in similar ranges, which on a 78-rpm transfer tends to make the pairing read as a single doubled line rather than as two distinct characters. The arrangement is not documented.

HindiGeetMala and MySwar both credit 'Man Mein Uthe Uchhale Mere' to Hamida Banu, Snehprabha Pradhan, with D. N. Madhok as lyricist and Bulo C. Rani as composer. Preet was made at Krishin Movietone, the Bombay banner Ram Daryani had set up with his brother K. S. Daryani in 1938, and Daryani directed it himself. Bulo C. Rani composed all thirteen songs; D. N. Madhok wrote ten of them and Wali Saheb the other three. MySwar records the discs as a Columbia Records release. Cinemaazi and the Wikipedia list of 1945 Hindi films give the cast as Snehprabha Pradhan, Chandra Mohan, Nazir Ahmad, Pahari Sanyal, Swarnalata, Gope, Miss Gulab and Majid. No plot summary of the picture survives in any source that can be consulted without a paywall, and the film has no Wikipedia article of its own, so nothing is asserted here about what happens in it.

Hamida Banu (1928-2006) appears on a single Preet track, alongside Snehprabha Pradhan. She was around seventeen in 1945 and near the start of a playback career that ran through the late 1940s; Preet is one of the early entries in her recorded catalogue. Preet itself survives today only as a catalogue: a thirteen-song list preserved through the Hindi Film Geet Kosh tradition and the databases built on it, with no print known to circulate and no plot summary in open circulation.
