मचा रे

Macha Re (मचा रे) is the boisterous party number from the Fukrey 3 (2023) soundtrack, composed by Tanishk Bagchi with lyrics by Kumaar and vocals by Mika Singh and Nakash Aziz. Part of the five-track Zee Music Company album for Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's Fukrey franchise sequel, released 27 September 2023 alongside the film's 28 September theatrical debut, the song leans into Mika Singh's established reputation as Bollywood's go-to voice for rowdy, celebratory anthems — following in the tradition of his numbers like Beedi and Pallo Latke. Unlike the album's headline single Ve Fukrey, Macha Re did not receive a dedicated star-cast Zee Music Company video; it circulated primarily as an audio track and via composer Tanishk Bagchi's own channel and the full-album upload.

Tanishk Bagchi, one of Bollywood's most prolific composers of the 2010s–2020s remix and party-track era, builds Macha Re as a straightforward, hook-heavy dance number, with Mika Singh's raspy, high-decibel delivery paired against Nakash Aziz's more melodic vocal for contrast. The song's producer credit on its official audio release lists Tanishk Bagchi himself, consistent with his hands-on role across much of the Fukrey 3 soundtrack.

Kumaar's lyrics are minimal and repetition-driven, centred on the chant 'macha re, halla macha re' — words chosen for their percussive, shout-along quality rather than narrative or emotional depth, in keeping with the song's function as pure celebratory filler rather than a plot-driven number.

Fukrey 3, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba for Excel Entertainment (Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani), released theatrically on 28 September 2023 as the third film in the franchise, bringing back Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi. The story follows the Fukra gang after they receive a government-allotted shop in Delhi, with Bholi Punjaban's political ambitions and Choocha's accidental fame driving the plot toward a conflict with a corrupt businessman over a mysterious fuel substance. Macha Re functions within the film as celebratory party filler, the kind of high-energy number the Fukrey franchise regularly uses to punctuate its comic set pieces.

Macha Re did not chart or generate the viral traction of the album's lead single Ve Fukrey, and its comparatively modest YouTube presence (circulated mainly via composer Tanishk Bagchi's own channel rather than a dedicated Zee Music Company video) reflects its role as a supporting party track rather than a headline promotional release. Its main point of cultural interest is Mika Singh's continued pairing with Tanishk Bagchi, a composer-singer combination responsible for numerous 2010s–2020s Bollywood party anthems.
