Composed by Amit Trivedi with lyrics by Varun Grover, the song was released by Zee Music Company with multiple recorded versions — a main film rendition by Raj Barman and Shashaa Tirupati, and this standalone alternate version sung solo by classically trained playback singer Abhay Jodhpurkar, released the same week (1 February 2022) as an additional listening experience for streaming audiences. Jodhpurkar's take strips the song back to its melodic core, letting Trivedi's understated, largely acoustic arrangement and Grover's plainspoken yet evocative Hindi lyric carry the song's central idea: that even the most 'seedha saadha' (simple, unassuming) person can be transformed by love into someone unexpectedly daring.

Amit Trivedi keeps the arrangement in this version deliberately spare, leaning on light acoustic guitar and strings rather than the fuller instrumentation of the main film cut, which gives Abhay Jodhpurkar's smooth, classically grounded tenor room to carry the melody with minimal ornamentation. Jodhpurkar, known for his work across South Indian and Hindi film music (including songs for A.R. Rahman), brings a controlled, unhurried delivery that reframes the song as an intimate solo ballad rather than the duet-flavoured treatment of the Raj Barman–Shashaa Tirupati film version — the same tune rendered in a distinctly more restrained register.

Varun Grover's lyric plays on the idiom 'seedha saadha' — plain, simple, unassuming — to describe how love has quietly changed the narrator: eyes that once knew no mischief now grow 'daring' at night, only to return to their innocent, watchful 'kotwaal' (guardian) role by day. It's a lyric built on gentle contradiction and everyday Hindi vocabulary rather than ornate metaphor, matching the film's larger theme of ordinary people discovering unexpected sides of themselves under social pressure to conform.
