दिल फिसल गया

Dil Phisal Gaya (दिल फिसल गया) is a peppy romantic dance number from the 2024 Aayush Sharma action film Ruslaan, sung by Vishal Dadlani, composed by Rajat Nagpal and written by Rana Sotal. Released as a promotional single by Saregama on 17 April 2024, roughly nine days before the film's 26 April 2024 theatrical release, the track was picturized on lead pair Aayush Sharma and Sushrii Shreya Mishraa as an upbeat, dance-floor-ready love song. Built on the title hook 'dil phisal gaya' — the heart has slipped and fallen — it is one of five songs on the Ruslaan soundtrack, four of which were scored by Rajat Nagpal.

Composer Rajat Nagpal builds Dil Phisal Gaya as an upbeat, beat-forward dance-pop track engineered for the film's romantic set piece, with a repeating title hook designed to lodge instantly. Vishal Dadlani's energetic, extroverted vocal — a register he has made his signature across two decades of Bollywood party songs — carries the number, leaning into the playful bounce of the melody rather than any classical embellishment. Compact at just 2:21, it is one of the shortest and most radio-ready tracks on the Ruslaan album.

Rana Sotal's lyric turns on a single vivid image — 'dil phisal gaya', the heart that has literally slipped and tumbled into love, followed by the surrender of 'ye mera haan ho gaya, ab tera' (my yes is given, now I am yours). This is the poetics of the contemporary filmi dance song: no elaborate mukhda-antara architecture or extended metaphor, just a colloquial, instantly chantable confession of infatuation built to be sung back on a dance floor.

Ruslaan (2024) is a Hindi-language action film directed by Karan Lalit Butani, starring Aayush Sharma in the title role alongside Sushrii Shreya Mishraa, with Jagapathi Babu and Vidya Malvade in supporting roles. Dil Phisal Gaya serves as the film's romantic interlude, picturized on Aayush Sharma and Sushrii Shreya Mishraa as an upbeat courtship dance. Saregama released it as a promotional single on 17 April 2024 — ahead of the film's 26 April 2024 theatrical release — as part of the soundtrack rollout that also included 'Roar of Ruslaan', 'Taade', 'Pehla Ishq' and 'Dua-e-Khair'.

Dil Phisal Gaya arrived as one of the marketing-facing singles from Ruslaan, a film that opened to a muted box-office response in April 2024. As a standalone track it offered a lightweight, danceable Vishal Dadlani number in the crowded 2024 field of pre-release promotional songs — modest in reach rather than a chart-topping breakout, but a representative example of the compact, hook-driven filmi dance single that dominated Bollywood soundtrack rollouts that year. It also underscores composer Rajat Nagpal's central role on the album, having scored four of its five songs.
