The Monographपरिचय Overview

'Bha Gaye Mann Nain Tihare' is listed as the second song of Aarti (1945) in HindiGeetMala and the eighth in MySwar's ordering, with music credited jointly to Ashok Ghosh and Ali Baksh. Neither catalogue records a singer, and no lyricist is recorded for the film at all, so the entry consists of a title and a composer pair. The title is plain Braj: bha gaye is the perfective of bhaana, to please or to be pleasing; nain is eyes; tihare is the Braj second-person possessive. Read straight, it says your eyes have won my heart — the standard opening move of a Braj love lyric, and one of the three songs in this film written in that register rather than in the Urdu of the Surendra-Vanmala duets.
The Music

No recording of the song is publicly available and no contemporary review of Aarti's score has been traced, so its melody, tempo, raag and instrumentation are all unrecoverable and are left blank here rather than guessed. The only musical fact on record is the credit: Ashok Ghosh and Ali Baksh together, as on all ten songs. Ghosh's documented work runs from Chhoti Bahu / Sanskar (1940) and Radhika (1941) through Nirdosh (1941), Sharafat (1943), Miss Devi (1944) and Gunjan (1948); a Ghosh song from Manmohan (1936) appears in raga-identification lists as based on Abheri/Bhimpalasi. Of Ali Baksh nothing survives beyond the joint billing on this film.
The Poetry

The line's grammar does the characterisation. In Braj, saying 'nain tihare' rather than 'tumhari aankhen' places the speaker in the older devotional-erotic vocabulary shared by Surdas, the rasiya and the film songs that borrowed from both — a register in which the eye is not a body part but the instrument by which the self is taken. 'Bha gaye' completes the transaction in the perfective: the thing has already happened, it is being reported, not requested. So the song opens with surrender rather than pursuit, which distinguishes it from the film's Urdu numbers, where the posture is negotiation. Nothing beyond this first line is recoverable — the lyricist is not named in any accessible catalogue and no recording circulates.
The Story

Aarti was made by Screen Attractions Corporation and directed by Ramchandra Thakur; Wikipedia's list of 1945 Hindi films records its genre as 'Social' and its cast as Surendra, Vanmala, Hansa Wadkar, Sheikh Mukhtar, Kanhaiyalal, Ansari and Harish. Of the ten songs, five carry singer credits and five — including this one — carry none. In practice that usually means the number was picturised on a supporting player rather than on one of the two singing leads, since Surendra's and Vanmala's names were the ones the record labels had reason to print; but no source states who sang it, so the singers field is left empty.
The Legacy

The song has left nothing behind but its title. It is absent from streaming catalogues and from YouTube, and no writing on 1945 film music mentions it. Its value in a reference database is precisely as an unfilled record: it documents that Aarti's score had a Braj-language strand alongside its Urdu one, and it marks the limit of what the Hindi Film Geet Kosh tradition of song-indexing was able to preserve when a record label had no star name to print on the label.

Three of Aarti's ten songs — this one, 'Bichhoo Kaat Gayo' and 'Guiyaan Sayaas Haan' — are titled in Braj or Awadhi rather than the Urdu of the film's romantic duets, the standard bilingual split of a 1940s Bombay 'social'.
