Ab Meri Baari (अब मेरी बारी) is the aggressive rap-flavoured theme song from Sabbir Khan's action-comedy Nikamma (2022), built as a swagger anthem for Abhimanyu Dassani's underdog character Adi. Composed and co-written by Javed-Mohsin, who also lends his own vocals alongside rapper-singer Farhad Bhiwandiwala, the track was designed — per the makers' own brief — as a 'high energy action theme song with lots of rap and aggressive attitude,' driven by heavy guitar riffs and a confrontational hook. Lyrics are co-written by director Sabbir Khan himself with Danish Sabri, giving the song a direct, almost dialogue-like bravado that mirrors the film's masala-action tone. Released alongside the rest of the Nikamma soundtrack on 3 June 2022 by Zee Music Company, ahead of the film's 17 June theatrical release, the song functions as a scene-setting statement of intent for the hero's transformation from a mocked, unemployed young man into someone who finally gets to say 'now it's my turn.'

Javed-Mohsin builds the track around a confrontational rap verse-and-hook structure, layering heavy guitar riffs over a driving beat to match the brief of an 'aggressive action theme.' His own vocals sit alongside Farhad Bhiwandiwala's rap delivery, trading a sung hook against spoken-word verses — a structure common to Hindi film 'entry' or 'revenge' anthems, designed more for punch and attitude than melodic complexity.

The lyrics, co-written by director Sabbir Khan with Danish Sabri, use blunt, proverb-like imagery — 'aage kuan peeche khayi' (a well ahead, a ravine behind, meaning trapped on all sides) — to set up the hero's predicament before flipping it into a threat: those who smiled to his face while plotting behind his back will now face 'his turn.' Nikamma, directed by Sabbir Khan, stars Abhimanyu Dassani as Adi, an unemployed young man with an exceptional memory who is sent by his brother to look after his IPS-officer sister-in-law Avni (Shilpa Shetty) on a covert assignment against a corrupt MLA, while also falling for Natasha 'Nikki' (Shirley Setia). Ab Meri Baari plays into the film's action set-pieces as Adi's transformation moment — the film's own trailer and promotions leaned heavily on this song to sell its 'underdog turns hero' framing. Ab Meri Baari has not charted or achieved standalone hit status the way some of Nikamma's other tracks did, remaining a mid-tier theme song within a soundtrack that itself received a mixed response amid the film's overall commercial failure. Its official Zee Music Company video has drawn a modest but respectable viewership in the low millions, sustained mostly by gym and workout-motivation playlist usage rather than mainstream chart presence.
