Synopsis1942 की स्टैंडर्ड पिक्चर्स की एक सामाजिक-संगीत फ़िल्म, निर्देशक नारी घड़ियाली — युद्ध के उन वर्षों में रिलीज़ हुई जब हवाई हमले की 'ब्लैकआउट' मश्क़ें आम भारतीय शब्दावली का हिस्सा बन चुकी थीं। आज इस फ़िल्म को सबसे ज़्यादा निरंजन 'नीनू' मजूमदार के पहले संगीत-निर्देशन के रूप में याद किया जाता है, जिन्होंने बेहराम ईरानी के साथ संगीत का श्रेय साझा किया और हिंदुस्तानी धुन पर पश्चिमी आर्केस्ट्रा के प्रयोगात्मक प्रस्तावनाओं वाला एक संगीत रचा।

A 1942 Standard Pictures social-musical directed by Nari Ghadiali, released during the wartime years when 'blackout' air-raid drills had entered everyday Indian vocabulary. The film is best remembered today as the debut composing assignment of Niranjan 'Ninu' Mazumdar, who shared the music credit with Behram Irani and built a score notable for its experimental Western-orchestration preludes layered over Hindustani melody.
