श्रेयस पुराणिक

Shreyas Puranik is a composer and singer whose music moves easily between devotional grandeur, Marathi folk warmth and mainstream Hindi film melody. Raised in Nagpur, where he trained in Indian classical music from childhood, he moved to Mumbai to study under the vocalist Suresh Wadkar and attended Mithibai College. His break came in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali camp: he assisted on the music of Bajirao Mastani (2015), for which he composed the thunderous Ganesh anthem 'Gajanana', and continued as an assistant music director on Padmaavat and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alongside Bollywood work he built a parallel career in Marathi cinema with films such as Photocopy, Lapachhapi and Faster Fene. National recognition arrived with 'Satranga', his aching Arijit Singh ballad from Animal (2023), which earned him the Filmfare R.D. Burman Award for upcoming music talent at the 69th Filmfare Awards. Recent credits include Dukaan and a steady stream of singles and devotional releases — among them 'Maa Banne Wali Hoon' and 'Rang Maar De Holi Hai' (2024) and 'Duniya Alag' (2025) — on several of which he also sings, as on 'Moh Na Laage'.
