दीपक ठाकुर

Deepak Thakur is a Bhojpuri and Hindi playback singer from Athar village in Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, born into an agricultural family with no prior background in music. He got his first break as a child performer, recording a version of the song "Moora" for Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) and a featured track, "Humni Ke Chhodi Ke," for Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2 (2013), after being spotted by music director Sneha Khanwalkar. Following a lean period with few assignments, he reconnected with Kashyap through social media and went on to sing for the film Mukkabaaz. He gained wide public recognition in 2018 as a contestant, alongside partner Urvashi Vani, on the reality show Bigg Boss 12, finishing as second runner-up. Thakur has continued to build an independent career as a singer, lyricist and music composer, releasing Bhojpuri and Hindi songs through his own YouTube channel. His later credits include "Chakka Jaam," a Bhojpuri track from the film Bhaiyya Ji (2024) recorded with Malini Awasthi and Dr. Sagar, and "Bidhana" (2025).
