One song in Ghar goes to Molina Devi, who also appears in the film's cast, and it is among the four of the film's eight numbers whose lyric text has never been published — though the recording itself survives: Saregama sells it, and it was posted as surviving audio on the archival blog Atul's Song A Day in June 2023. What survives is the entry itself: the title, the singer, Roopbani as lyricist and Alla Rakha as composer, recorded consistently by both HindiGeetMala and MySwar. Everything else about the song is unrecoverable from the sources available.

The recording survives — on Saregama, and as audio posted to Atul's Song A Day — but no source consulted describes or transcribes it, and the present entry is written without having heard it, so its melody, tempo and instrumentation are not characterised here. The composer is documented: Alla Rakha wrote all eight songs of Ghar, one of the earliest scores in the film career he ran under the name A. R. Qureshi in parallel with his life as a Punjab gharana tabla player.

Roopbani's text for this song has not been preserved in any archive consulted. The title is a common Hindi fatalist formula, of the kind that turns up across the period's writing whenever a character accepts an outcome, and Ghar's other surviving songs show Roopbani working that vein of resignation with some skill. Reading this song as another instalment of it would be a reasonable guess and nothing more, and the guess is not made here.

Ghar was a Sunrise Pictures family drama directed by V. M. Vyas. Its cast brought together Vyas's regular players — Kalyani, Mirza Musharraf, Yakub — with Molina Devi, an actress from the Calcutta studios, and with the young Iftekhar. Molina Devi's presence in a Bombay Hindi picture of 1945 is itself worth noting, since the traffic between the Calcutta and Bombay industries in this period was steady but not heavy. Where this song fell in the film cannot be established: no print, press book or synopsis survives.

Ghar had eight songs, not the four for which a printed text happens to exist, and recording the undocumented ones alongside the documented is what keeps the film's soundtrack an accurate object rather than a convenient one.
