Saajnaa (साजना) is a soulful romantic ballad from the 2023 Hindi film Bad Boy, composed by Himesh Reshammiya with lyrics by his frequent collaborator Shabbir Ahmed, and sung by Asees Kaur. Released as the film's fifth single on 8 May 2023 via Zee Music Company, it is picturized on debutant leads Namashi Chakraborty (son of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty) and Amrin Qureshi. The song follows Himesh Reshammiya's signature Sufi-pop template — a gentle, devotional melody built around simple, repeated declarations of love — and slots into the six-track Bad Boy soundtrack as the emotional counterpart to the male reprise version sung by Shaan. Bad Boy (2023), directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Anjum Qureshi and Sajid Qureshi, is a Hindi remake of the 2018 Bengali film Girlfriend, marking the acting debut of Namashi Chakraborty (son of Mithun Chakraborty) opposite Amrin Qureshi. The story follows Raghu, a self-styled 'bad boy,' who falls for a student named Rituparna and must win over her strict, disapproving father to prove his worth. Saajnaa arrives as one of the film's romantic set pieces, underscoring the couple's tender moments before the film's theatrical release on 28 April 2023; the soundtrack itself, however, was still being rolled out as singles through early May, with Saajnaa among the last tracks released.
