Nayantara Bhatkal is a Mumbai-based composer, vocalist and music producer who has built her career largely in the streaming era, scoring and singing for Netflix originals in a long-running creative partnership with composer Aditya N. After early work behind the scenes — including music production on the acclaimed Netflix thriller Raat Akeli Hai (2020) — the duo broke through with the soundtrack of the Netflix series Class (2023), for which they wrote, produced and performed songs such as "Girta Sambhalta", "Khidki" and "Patang"; Bhatkal also penned most of the soundtrack's English lyrics, and the album drew praise from Rolling Stone India for its moody, contemporary sound. In 2025 she co-composed and sang "Dhun" for The Royals, Netflix's romantic drama starring Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar, following it with "Main Hoon Tere Liye" (2026) as both singer and composer. Outside commissioned film and series work she writes and releases her own singer-songwriter material under the moniker Still Ocean, pairing confessional writing with a sweeping, cinematic sonic palette that blends Indian melodic sensibilities with modern pop production.
