Vande Veeram drew strong emotional reactions on social media around its release, with the film's producers and coverage describing netizens' response as calling the track 'soul-stirring.' The song also became a minor flashpoint when Sunshine Pictures alleged that YouTube India had warned it might remove the video following complaints, which director Sudipto Sen suggested came from groups opposed to the film's depiction of Naxalite activity — the video remained live at the time of reporting.
