'Ye Hai Ediket Pyare' is one of the ten documented songs of Kaljug (1942), the Hind Pictures social drama directed by and starring Nazir with Sitara Devi. The score is entirely Rafiq Ghaznavi's, set to Hasrat Lakhnavi's words. The English loanword 'etiquette' in the title signals a satirical, topical song mocking fashionable modern manners — exactly the kind of social commentary a film titled for the corrupt 'Kaljug' age would carry; the singer is not named in surviving record databases.
