The Monographपरिचय Overview

Prarthana is a standout solo track from KR$NA's five-song EP Far From Over, released 28 August 2023 through Kalamkaar Music. Produced by Bharg, the song became the EP's biggest breakout hit, with its official YouTube video (uploaded to KR$NA's channel) crossing over fifteen million views — by far the most-viewed track off the project. The song continues KR$NA's long-running reputation as one of Indian hip-hop's most lyrically dense and technically respected rappers, built on dismissive, confident bars aimed at unnamed rivals he claims have disappeared from the competition entirely, set to Bharg's tense, minor-key-leaning production.
The Music

Bharg's production for Prarthana carries a tense, brooding undercurrent — a minor-key-leaning beat with punchy drum programming that gives KR$NA's rapid, densely packed verses room to land with impact. The arrangement builds rather than stays static, escalating in intensity as the track progresses, which helped it stand out as the EP's most replayable, video-ready single.
The Poetry

The lyric opens with pointed rhetorical questions — 'kaun hai ye, kaun hai wo, mujhe kya pata' ('who's this, who's that, I don't even know') — before landing the taunt that his enemies have all gone missing ('lapata'). The title's use of 'prarthana' (prayer) plays against the song's aggressive content: rather than a devotional plea, it reads as a sardonic invocation, asking listeners to 'fold hands and pray' almost mockingly, in line with the competitive-rap tradition of turning reverent language into a battle taunt.
The Story

Far From Over is KR$NA's EP released via Kalamkaar Music on 28 August 2023, comprising five tracks — 'Still Standing,' 'Prarthana' (with Bharg), 'Wanna Know,' 'Hola Amigo' (with Seedhe Maut and Umair) and 'Some Of Us' (with AR Paisley). Of the five, Prarthana emerged as the clear commercial and viewership standout, driven by both Bharg's production and the track's aggressive, quotable bars, which made it a favourite for hip-hop reaction and review channels covering the EP's release.
The Legacy

Prarthana's official YouTube video has crossed fifteen million views, making it by far the most-watched track from Far From Over and one of KR$NA's more commercially successful singles of 2023 — a notable feat for an independent Hindi hip-hop release without major-label promotional backing beyond Kalamkaar/Mass Appeal's distribution.
