Kiddan Zaalima (किद्दां ज़ालिमा) is a peppy Punjabi-pop number from Crew (2024), sung and composed by Vishal Mishra with lyrics by Raj Shekhar, released as a soundtrack single on 28 March 2024 — a day ahead of the film's 29 March 2024 theatrical release. The official music video, uploaded by Tips Official on 10 April 2024, credits the song alongside the film's leads Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon. Crew, a heist comedy about three air hostesses caught up in gold smuggling, went on to become the sixth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024, and Kiddan Zaalima has crossed 8 million views on its official video.
The Music

Vishal Mishra takes on double duty as singer and composer, building Kiddan Zaalima around a bright, synth-driven Punjabi-pop groove designed for an easy, danceable hook. His delivery keeps the melody light and conversational, matching the song's teasing, call-and-response lyrical structure rather than leaning into heavier filmi orchestration — a sound that places the track squarely in the contemporary Punjabi-crossover mould that has become common in Hindi film soundtracks.
The Poetry

Raj Shekhar's lyrics lean on Punjabi colloquialisms — 'gallan' (words/talk), 'khumaar' (intoxication), and the repeated question 'kiddan zaalima' (how are you being so cruel/tormenting) — to frame a light, teasing confession of infatuation. The words compare a beloved's speech to a sitar's melody and her eyes to a heady intoxication, keeping the imagery simple and immediately singable rather than reaching for elaborate metaphor.
